December 31st-4 years ago our "special spirit" Alizah came to us in a blizzard! Today, before 10:00 a.m.(because Lizah wouldn't have lasted much longer) we had cake, presents, and balloons. This is a picture of her getting her Underdog movie which we will watch probably 10 times today. Her favorite present was cheetos, then brownies, then her I-pod shuffle. She's pretty easy to please! You can't see in her picture, but she is wearing her swimsuit which that or a leotard is the extent of her wardrobe. She did add her new "Hello Kitty (leopard print)" shoes that will match the only clothes (leopard print) that she will wear if I do convince her to put clothes over her "lee-lows". Her teachers at school assumed this was the only outfit she had. Little did they know the princess size wardrobe she does have at home in her closet.
After the party this morning we ended up back at the clinic (this is the 3rd time since Christmas) with Hanna and a 102 degree temp and a pretty bad sinus infection. So after the 3 hours at the doctor, 1 hour at the pharmacy we are back at home to try to catch our mouse. yes, I did say mouse in the house! He has been eating the peanut butter off the trap and running away! He's getting pretty brave-now everyone except for Piper has seen him and that's only because she is stuck in the living room not moving because of her broken leg. We'll post pictures of her broken leg also. That was one of our 3 trips to the clinic this week. She was hanging on the bar at our gym and let go to a 5 foot fall that resulted in a broken leg in two places. So we are not going to Island Park for a week long snowmobiling trip, but going for more x-rays and another cast in a few days. OH THE JOYS OF PARENTHOOD!!! Poor Piper, it's very pathetic as she scoots on one side to try to move around. We are hoping the bones stay put for them to cast it and not need surgery or anything. Well, we'll see what tomorrow brings, I have learned to not whisper the phrase, "it can't get any.........You can finish the sentence.. Ha, Ha

Christmas Morning
Well, Santa has visited the Nelson house and we have officially begun blogging with our new internet. We'll see how it goes. The girls didn't get up until 9:00 a.m. mainly because of the really late night. Hanna was the first up saw her American Girl doll Ivy. Alizah cruises around the house in her low-rider blue motorcycle and Piper likes her sit-n'bounce zebra, but mainly wants the older girls' leapsters and any of the gum that she can find. She was just found behind the curtain with a big stash of the gum! This picture is of the girls' vitamins that Santa brought in their stockings. See they have to eat vitamins in big doses because they don't eat any other good food. Nelson's gave us the internet and a webcam, so if any else out there has one, let us know then we can actually maybe feel connected to family!! Brandon got a chainsaw, which he's going to go out and get me some firewood and make a fire this afternoon, he just doesn't know it yet. Kortni yelled too much this year, (the girls say), and Santa didn't fill my stocking with anything (actually, I think the lines were too long at wal-mart on Christmas Eve-imagine that!! Maybe a little planning would help next year!) It's so different without more family around. It's quiet and we really don't know what else to do today! Dad is taking the two older girls on a date night and going to Alvin & the Chipmunks later this afternoon. Right now the girls are playing camping with all their flashlights that their grandma gave them. The Beck side is going to the Tree Houses in Oregon in July as a family and Maimi gave everyone "gear" as Hanna calls it (whistles, flashlights, Swiss Family Robinson, forest music, etc.). The girls are very concerned with their "gear" and making sure their lights work. We've been reading the Magic TreeHouse series and gearing up for our adventures. We've so far ate enough chocolate this morning to last us a lifetime. Beck-Alizah is saving one of her Florence chocolates for you when you get back from Idaho. She loves you and thinks of you always! We'll be signing off for now. Our first blog was so much fun! Hope it doesn't stop here....Write back anyone!!
