Piper and "gum, gum"

This is a whole package of chewed gum!!
Piper has a thing with "gum-gum". Her babysitter Tammy got her started with it and she has always been extremely good for a two year old with gum. It rarely ends up on the floor or swallowed. She'll carry her package of gum around and chew one piece then throw it away, then chew another piece and throw it away, etc. But this picture is of an ENTIRE package of gum that Grandma sent. I was doing something else and heard a gagging/throwing up sound and ran to find Piper on top of the coffee table with this wad of gum in her mouth and she couldn't get it out!! So I reacted, got the gum and she screamed at me because she wanted to keep chewing it!
She loves gum-gum!!

Hanna's in Second Grade

Hanna's new second grade teacher-Mrs. Guenther. Aunt Jake actually student taught for Mrs. Guenther a few years ago, so we know she's going to be wonderful!!

Hanna's new Las Vegas attire.

New "Hannah Montana" bag. You wouldn't guess it, but
the kids at school call her Hanna Montana.

The "cool" sparkles on the new pants....

So I went to Vegas for a few days with a friend (pics and stories later), and Grandma sent some money for Hanna to buy school clothes, (THANK-YOU!!) and I was instructed by Hanna that the clothes could not come from Gymboree (my Fav store) or the Gap (my ALL-TIME fav store). She's been hanging around her good friend Ella, who is so cute and just a tad older than Hanna, and who also just returned from the mall of America. Anyway long story short Hanna knew all the new upcoming stores for the fashion conscience. So I bought a few things and Hanna said, "Now this is MY STYLE. What you bought last year was SO NOT!" Well, I just saw my little baby grow up years! I think dad might have to get another job to pay for Hanna's "STYLE"....

Hanna's New Best Friend

Hanna and I went to the school last night to find out her new teacher. She insisted she wore her sunday dress with heals even though we probably wouldn't see her teacher. After we found out it was Mrs. Guenther (Mom's and Aunt Jake's friend!) we went to buy her school supplies. We bought a little gift for her new teacher with a card. After she wrote on the card she handed it to me to put in the envelope. I was so glad I got to see it before it was sealed, because I read this, "I am so exsited to be in your class! We are going to be best friends! Love, Hanna" Don't we all remember when we loved our teachers so much! Hanna is excited to start school although she says she only likes the "first day, the party days, and the last day of school." So after we bought school supplies we needed to take a supply list to a boy that was in her class. Josh wasn't home so we left the note on his doorstep (he lives down the street and through the field from us) She was so concerned that later that night, her and dad rode Patty back to his house to make sure he had gotten the note. But remember everyone, this is a boy that Hanna insists that she DOESN"T like!!

New Website!

Everyone check out our new website...www.aimgymnastics.com! We are so excited to have this newest feature to our business. Alizah's picture on the school link is adorable with her little friend Auna. I've decided that I want school to start so our lives will slow down!! Isn't that crazy. Getting our business ready for the start of the school year is exhausting me! All I wanted to do was go to the pool today and it rained and was windy all day. Maybe tommorrow?? Hey mimi! Where are you? Have you checked Hanna's pictures yet from cali? My grandma mimi was so worried about us in california and she called me on my cell when I was downtown L.A.! Needless to say I didn't want to panic her, but I had to make the call short. Thanks for the worry for us though Mimi! Everyone have fun watching the Olympics. Hanna thinks she's going some day. She thinks it's way cool that they don't have to go to school and they do gymnastics all day long. She said she would like to try that someday! So cute, but so naive. I don't think she really understands what ALL DAY practice means...but fun to think about!

Woodward Camp in California

So we've just spent a few weeks traveling-hence the no posts. Hanna and I just got back from a whirlwind of a gymnastic camp in the amazing Woodward Camp in California. I took 5 gymnasts to the best gym they've ever been in. The learned a ton, opened up their eyes to what is out there, and came back thinking they were pretty cool! They met lots of different people, Olympians that coached them, VIP guests at the camp like the Platt Brothers, and lots of new friends. It was so neat to watch them be excited about gymnastics. The girls did 30+ hours of gym last week and when we drove into Moses Lake at 11:00 at night-they all wanted to go play at our gym! Hanna learned a bunch a new skills and I learned so much more about coaching! They all are planning their return trip next year which will be less expensive because we earned free round trip airline tickets from the first flight by giving up our seats and flying only 20 minutes later!! That has never happened to me before. It almost wasn't great because I about had to use them all because we came very close to missing our return flight. That has also never happened to me before. We were late getting to the airport (me getting lost in L.A., traffic, and security) and the airline let me check in the 5 girls then shut the computer off with me. Talk about a small freak out from me!! I was talking a little louder than normal trying to get someone to help me while in the meantime trying not to panic all the girls!! In the end we made it home all together. We are so busy this week with Brandon in Iowa on business and my trying to put together the new school year. The two little girls are pretty clingy to me after being in Idaho without us. We are all trying to settle back into our hectic routine. We've spent a few days at the Aquatic Center which we love, ignoring the still packed suitcases and mountains of clutter. But the kids fight less at the pool than at home! That's my defense!! I should be back to blogging soon!

Alizah and Piper

I love you Alizah and Piper. I will miss you and hope you are having fun in Idaho!!
Be nice to each other and watch in the mail for a letter from mommy!

P.S. Korbi-thanks for the new blog background.....

Long time, No Post

Alizah, Hanna, Fallon, Grandma, Piper

I have to hurry and post before Brandon gets back from Hastings or he'll have something to say cuz I've been running around all a.m. trying to unpack and repack again and now I'm wasting time blogging. Priorities right?? All my friends will think I'm ignoring them if I don't tell you what we've been up to! So we've been in Burley for the last week for a celebration for Grandma Marsha. It was her birthday/cancer survivor party. She is done with chemo treatments and radiation now and we are so happy she's healthy!! The kids sure enjoyed all the family. It's been months since we've seen anyone. The above pictures were our attempt at getting the four grandkids to pose for a picture for grandma. Read between the lines at attempt, because the screaming from one of the four at all different times were what we dealt with. We still haven't gone through all the pics to see if we got anything good.

We left last Friday for the surprise party and came back this Friday, but left Alizah and Piper in Idaho cuz Hanna and I leave tonight for Seattle to fly to California in the a.m. So it has been a whirlwind 24 hours back in Moses Lake!! Well it won't be actually 24 hours for me to try to repack and do a little work at the same time. We are going to California for a gymnastics camp with five of my gymnasts. Yes, Grandma Mimi is praying for me as I navigate through "8 lanes of traffic". Brandon keeps reminding me that it's 8, yes 8 lanes, so be careful!! Hanna woke up this morning and was so excited. She can't wait to get there. I'm a little more apprehensive. I cried when I left Piper and Alizah. I'll be praying for them as this is Piper's first time without me. I'll have to catch up on all the posts when I get back. Everyone cross your fingers for me at about 9:00 in the morning on Sunday-that's when I hit the 8 lanes of traffic!!
